'Firefox 94' official release, official color theme for a limited time appeared



The official version of the web browser ' Firefox 94 ' has been released. In addition to the appearance of six official color themes for a limited time, security has also been improved by introducing a mechanism to separate processes for each site.

◆Official color theme appears for a limited time
Six seasonal color themes are now available in Firefox 94 for a limited time. After the update, a pop-up will appear at the first startup, so click 'Look at the color theme' ...



'Choose Palette' is displayed and you can select a theme. In addition to the default light and dark colors, there are six colors available: 'Abstract', 'Cheers', 'Foto', 'Lush', 'Graffiti' and 'Elemental'. Each color can be selected from three types: 'Soft', 'Balance' and 'Bold'.



◆ Power consumption is reduced in the macOS version
Firefox for macOS now uses low power mode when displaying movies in full screen on services such as YouTube and Twitch, allowing longer battery life.

◆ Tabs can be unloaded manually from 'about:unloads'
A 'Free Tab' page has been implemented, allowing you to manually free page memory.



Changed to hide the update prompt in the Windows version
Instead, updates now occur in the background even if Firefox isn't running.

◆ A new site separation mechanism will be introduced

was introduced on a trial basis from May 2021 , but was officially released for general users in Firefox 94.

The multi-account container is a function that separates cookies and authentication information and acts as another user, and is provided as an extension. This feature is now integrated with Mozilla VPN , allowing you to choose server locations for each container.

◆ 'Close multiple tabs' warning does not appear by default
If you want to continue to receive warnings in the future, you can check the 'Confirm before closing multiple tabs at the same time' button in 'Settings' → 'General' → 'Tab Group'.



◆Updates for developers
