Twitter begins rolling out new Communities feature for shared interests --9to5Mac

The Twitter community is very similar to the group feature on other social media such as Discord, Reddit, and Facebook. When you join a community, you can post tweets to people in that group, or view feeds of tweets from other users in the community (even if you don't follow them). Is possible.

It seems that community tweets can be accessed from 'Communities' on the menu bar on the left side of the screen.

The tweets of users who participate in the community can be viewed by all users who use Twitter, but only users who participate in the community can participate in discussions within the community. Since the community is in the early testing stage, it is a complete invitation system, and it seems that invitations will be sent to only a small number of iOS and web version users at the time of writing the article. As a result, Android users cannot join the community and can only view the content.

Community participants may be given two roles: moderator and administrator. The moderator confirms the reported tweets based on the three points of 'promotion of meaningful conversation', 'connection of like-minded people', and 'development of community culture' within the community, and is unique to each community. You can check if it violates the rules and hide the tweets if they violate the rules. The administrator is the user who selects and manages the moderator, and it is possible to eliminate members that are harmful to the community and change / delete the rules, titles, and explanations of the community. Both moderators and admins can invite new users to the community.

Originally, the user who wants to create a new community becomes the administrator, creates the community, recruits moderators and users, but since it is during the pilot test period, Twitter will be the administrator at the time of article creation. It seems that a new community will be created and some users will be the moderators to test the community. There is no limit to the number of users who can join the community, and there is no limit to the number of users who can be appointed as moderators.

Twitter encourages users who want to launch a new community to apply from the following page.
