The outer box of the TK850i looks like this.
It contained the projector body, instructions, power cord, remote control for TK850i, remote control for Android TV QS01, and Android TV tuner QS01.
The TK850i body looks like this. The width is 380 mm, the height is 127 mm, and the depth is 263 mm.
It weighed 4.35 kg.
When I actually bring it, it looks like this. It's not something you carry around often, but it's relatively easy to carry around even on small trips.
There is a lens on the front, and the lens cover can be removed with a light force.
Both sides have heat exhaust ports.
There is a cable outlet on the back. There are 12V trigger, D-Sub 9 pin, USB mini-B, USB 3.0, 2 HDMI, USB2.0, digital audio input / output, analog audio output, power cable and each terminal. HDMI supports 2.0b and HDCP 2.2.
There are switches and lens operation parts on the top surface.
There is also a sticker on the top that shows how to attach the QS01.
You can watch Android TV by attaching the included dongle 'QS01'. First, remove the screws on the side of the main body.
Remove the cover on the top of the main unit.
There is a micro USB Type-B cable and an HDMI outlet in the central recess, where you can attach the QS01.
Insert the terminal of the micro USB cable that appears in the recess into the side of the QS01 ...
In that state, connect QS01 to the HDMI terminal.
QS01 fits perfectly like this. After that, attach the cover and you're done.
The remote control for the TK850i looks like this. When you press the button, it glows orange so that it is easy to operate even in the dark.
The remote control for QS01 looks like this. This does not glow even if you press the button. There is also a Google voice recognition button and a button that allows you to watch Amazon Prime Video with a single button.
Next, we will decide the installation location of the TK850i. This time, it will be projected on the 80-inch screen '
Check the instruction manual or BenQ official
For 80 inches, the shortest installation distance was 2001mm, the longest installation distance was 2603mm, and the average installation distance was 2302mm. This time, it will be installed at a distance of 2001 mm. It is quite difficult to secure a distance of 2m in a room. By the way, the shortest installation distance is 750 mm and the projection size is 30 inches.
When the installation is completed, it will finally start up. The device that arrived at the editorial department this time has a 3-pin type power cord, but the products sold in Japan are 2-pin type. This time, connect using a conversion adapter.
Insert the power plug into the outlet and start.
The actual projection is like this.
Since QS01 was connected, the home screen of Android TV started. You can operate the remote control for QS01 to set up a connection to Wi-Fi, and start Youtube and Amazon Prime Video. Since the main unit also has a built-in speaker, you can listen to the sound as it is.
In addition, Netflix is only compatible with specific authenticated devices, and you can watch it by connecting a PC or set-top box with HDMI or by wireless projection using Chrome.
When you press the microphone button on the remote control for QS01, the Google Assistant starts, and you can also operate voice by talking to the remote control.
With the power on, press the power button on the main unit or the OFF button on the remote control once to display the confirmation screen, and press it again to turn off the power.

The W1080ST placed on the right is 312 mm wide, 109 mm high, 244 mm deep and weighs 2.85 kg, making it lighter and smaller than the TK850i overall. Both are equipped with a short focus lens that can project a large image even at a short distance.
When projecting on an 80-inch screen, the shortest distance to the screen is 1222 mm for the W1080ST. Since the TK850i is 2001mm, it will be placed about 80cm behind the W1080ST.
Install W1080ST and TK850i at the shortest projection distance, and connect to the HDMI 2.0b compatible distributor ' OZJ1-1 ' using an HDMI
Furthermore, you can connect it to Xbox One X and set all settings such as brightness and contrast. The following photo is a projection of the image with W1080ST on the left and TK850i on the right. The maximum brightness of W1080ST is 2000 lumens, and the maximum brightness of TK850i is 3000 lumens.
