I bought Fly 6 on my bicycle and shoot while cycling. I shot in both daytime and nighttime, but also with the effect of a wide angle lens, the scenery behind and the approaching car etc. were recorded in a blurred manner.

◆ I opened a package of "Fly 6"
This is the new "Fly 6" package. A short copy of "I've got your back" tells the characteristics of Fly 6.


On the back side, the features of the product were written. With a 1280 x 720 pixel HD camera, it can shoot up to 6 hours with a USB rechargeable lithium ion battery. It can also be used as a high light tail LED light.


When opening the lid with a crackle, a quick start guide appears first.


Fly 6 and accessories that appeared cleanly in a sponge cushion also appeared when we removed the guide and the inner sponge dish. Two special stickers are also bundled.

◆ Setup before use
The first time to get Fly 6 is to set the time. Attach the supplied microSD card to the main unit and connect the PC's USB terminal and Fly 6 with a cable as per the manual.


When attaching the cable, the LED lamp indicating charging is lit with the sound "beep". Your PC and Fly 6 are now connected.


When the connection is completed, you can now see the contents of Fly 6 (= contents of microSD card). Open the file named "CONFIG.TXT" with a text editor such as Windows "Notepad". Usually you just double click and OK.


The first line of the file contains the character "0", and the second line contains the date / time template.


"0" in the first line is rewritten to "1", then the second line is rewritten to the current time and the file is overwritten as it is, preparation for setting is completed.


After that, unplug the USB cable, press and hold the power button for the main body to set the time correctly, ready to use. In addition, it seems difficult to set Don Pissha up to the second unit due to the setting method, but it may not be a big problem.


◆ Mount on a bicycle
Next, prepare to mount Fly 6 on a bicycle. First of all, seat post / mount is attached to Fly 6. Push the slide until it clicks.


This time I will attach it to the road bike where the seat post became an aero shape.


First of all, we set up an aero seat post adapter.


Then apply Fly 6 to the adapter perfectly. If the angle of the camera does not become horizontal, it is OK if you hold a shim for angle adjustment.


Finally, if you tighten up with a silicone strap, the fixation is completed.


The completed state looks like this. It is almost the same mounting method as LED tail light on the market, but it seems that it is better to adjust the mount angle to severe as much as the camera is mounted on Fly 6.


◆ I actually tried shooting
The shooting button of Fly 6 is a type to be used with the power switch. That is, recording starts when the power is turned on, and it stops at the power off. It seems that you can prevent mistakes in recording if you turn on the power.


After that I only ride my bicycle as usual. It is possible to record without particularly difficult operation or setting. When shooting is finished, connect Fly 6 to PC or remove microSD card and insert it into PC, there should be a folder called "DCIM" in the folder, so double click to open it.


In the folder, subfolders by date are created and it seems to be useful when finding the data.


When opening a subfolder, the data after shooting was saved. The file format was AVI, and the file name was attached with the rule of "time of 4 digits + serial number of the day". The maximum recording time of each file is 10 minutes, and when it exceeds 10 minutes it is specified to create a new file.
