Why is there no B drive on my current computer? Reason

In the case of a standard Windows-equipped PC, the boot drive is called "drive C" and is named "D drive", "E drive" ... in that order.

Also, in the case of a computer with a slightly previous floppy disk drive, there is "A drive" there.

Then, is B drive going to ...? The reason is as follows.
Once upon a time, when the OS was DOS instead of Windows, the floppy disk was used as a standard. Hard disk was expensive, so it is not installed. And "A drive" and "B drive" were assigned to this floppy disk drive. In order to start up DOS, I put a floppy in drive A first, then I inserted it in drive B to start software and applications.

Soon after the hard disk became cheaper, there was no CD-R drive and so on, the floppy disk was kept as it was as a storage medium, so it is left as it is, A and B are the floppy disk drive, the hard drive added in order from the C drive, the CD -ROM drive ... and so on.
