Gemini has surpassed 1 billion users, becoming Google's fastest-growing product in history.



Google CEO Sundar Pichai has announced that its AI, Gemini, has reached 1 billion monthly active users. Gemini is integrated into almost all Google services, including Google Search and Gmail.




Gemini is an AI that debuted in 2023, and in addition to chat support, it leverages features such as image processing and speech recognition to integrate with numerous Google services.

According to CEO Pichai, Gemini is the 14th Google product to reach the milestone of '1 billion users,' and is the fastest-growing in terms of growth potential.

Josh Woodward, Google's vice president in charge of Gemini, has provided further details.

First, 63% of users speak directly to Gemini, and the percentage of users who use Gemini solely through voice communication is also increasing.




'Gemini Live,' which allows users to interact with Gemini in real time while displaying surrounding video, is proving popular among DIY enthusiasts and students. 38% of requests from schools include attachments, indicating that students' use of AI extends beyond simple text input.




More than 150 million images are generated every day, and Gemini is reportedly a favorite among small and medium-sized businesses for creating marketing materials.




iOS has over 100 million active users, and macOS power users reportedly use prompts about twice as often as those on other platforms.
