Google Search Console now supports social media and video channels because we know your content isn't just on your website. Here are some of the ways to use Google Search Console as described in the guide.

Understanding the search audience
Use Insights reports to identify top, rising, and falling query groups driving traffic from Google Search to social media and video content. By analyzing the themes of these search terms, you can understand what your audience is interested in and gain data-driven inspiration for your next video topic, caption, and hashtag strategy.

Find trending content
Use the 24-hour filter to identify recent traffic spikes from Google Search to your posts and promote your trending content across other platforms.

- Analyze across platforms
You can export performance data from multiple platforms and compare content performance side-by-side across YouTube, Instagram, X, TikTok, and more.

Optimizing existing content
Leverage Google Search Console to identify older videos that are recovering their search rankings and optimize your strategy by data-drivenly identifying posts that should be pinned to social media and video feeds, or developed into sequels. Furthermore, Google Search Console's annotation feature allows you to track how external updates, such as rewriting YouTube titles or TikTok captions, impact search performance over the long term.

Compare formats
You can apply page filters and comparison modes to evaluate the performance of video playlists or compare search traffic for short and long videos.
