Google Search Console introduces new '24-hour display' feature, letting you see the number of clicks and impressions per hour

On December 12, 2024, Google added a 24-hour display feature with detailed data updates to

Google Search Console , which helps you monitor, manage, and improve your site's ranking in Google search results. This makes it easy to check performance data for the last 24 hours.

Until now, Google Search Console only allowed you to check performance for the ranges of '7 days,' '28 days,' '3 months,' and 'more than that.' However, after the update on December 12, 2024, '24 hours' has been added to the analysis range selection field.

This makes it possible to check the total number of clicks, total number of impressions, average CTR , and average position for the last 24 hours on an hourly basis.

At the time of writing, there is a 5-6 hour delay in collecting and displaying data. Also, even if data collection for all data points has not been completed, it is possible to infer and display forecast data if there is relevant data. The forecast data is displayed as a dotted line.

You can check 24-hour performance for three items: 'Search Results,' 'Discover,' and 'Google News.'

Regarding the '24-hour view feature,' Google said, 'In 2024, Google is committed to improving the freshness of your Google Search Console performance data, and this release is part of that effort. Overall, we've been able to reduce the average data latency by almost half. We hope this new view and improved data freshness will help you better and more clearly monitor your recently published content and take timely action if needed.'
