The Geekbench series is a benchmark application compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS. It's popular among PC enthusiasts and reviewers because it allows for one-click measurement of CPU and GPU performance and displays the results in an easy-to-understand format. The latest release, Geekbench 7, adds AI-related and content processing workflows to its test scope.

In CPU multi-core testing, to reflect real-world usage, only 'workflows that are processed using multi-core processing in actual workflows' are now tested. For example, HTML5 rendering tests have been excluded from multi-core testing. Examples of tests added to CPU performance testing are as follows:

- Encode the video using the AV1 codec and then share the screen.
- Compress music and audio using the Opus codec.
- Use the transcription AI Whisper to generate video subtitles in real time.
- Physics calculations in Jolt Physics
