An ad blocker called 'they_live_adblocker' has appeared that recreates the 'alien rule' from the movie 'They Live'.

The 1988 science fiction film '

They Live, ' directed by John Carpenter, is set in a world where 'all advertisements in the city and images shown on television are brainwashing signals from aliens who control humanity.' It is famous for a scene where, when the protagonist puts on sunglasses, all advertisements and posters appear to convey messages such as 'OBEY' and 'STAY ASLEEP.' Now, an ad blocker for the Chromium browser called ' they_live_adblocker ' has appeared that replaces many of the advertisements found on the internet with 'They Live' style ads.
