NVIDIA and Meta Form Strategic Partnership to Purchase Millions of GPUs for AI Processing

NVIDIA and Meta announced on February 17, 2026, that they have entered into a long-term, multi-year partnership agreement. This partnership will enable Meta to purchase millions of NVIDIA high-performance GPUs over multiple generations.

Meta is conducting research and development with the aim of developing superintelligence, and is building AI data centers with large-scale computing power across the country. These AI data centers require the deployment of a large number of high-performance GPUs, and securing a stable supply of GPUs is an essential task for Meta.

According to the announcements from both companies, NVIDIA and Meta have signed a long-term, multi-year, multi-generational partnership agreement that will enable Meta to deploy Blackwell and Rubin generation GPUs at scale.
Meta plans to deploy systems based on NVIDIA's GB300 and develop an integrated architecture that can leverage the computing power of its own data centers as well as NVIDIA's cloud partners to maximize processing performance and scalability. The company also plans to work with NVIDIA to deploy the Vera Rubin generation of GPUs, which will be released in 2027.
In addition, Meta will integrate NVIDIA's Spectrum-X Ethernet networking system into the Facebook Open Switching System (FBOSS) , and will also use NVIDIA's Confidential Computing technology for WhatsApp data processing, which prioritizes privacy.
Meta is making large-scale investments to expand its AI data centers, and has announced that it will invest more than 900 billion yen in glass products giant Corning in 2026 to accelerate the development of fiber optic systems.
