Nintendo Switch sales surpass DS to become Nintendo's best-selling game console

Nintendo has announced its financial results for the third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2026 (October 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025) and updated its dedicated video game console sales figures accordingly. It was revealed that cumulative sales of

the Nintendo Switch had surpassed 155.37 million units as of the end of December 2025, surpassing the DS to become Nintendo's best-selling video game console.

Nintendo's sales for the third quarter of 2026 were down 99.3% year-on-year to 1.9058 trillion yen, operating profit was up 21.3% year-on-year to 300.3 billion yen, ordinary profit was up 39.4% year-on-year to 455.8 billion yen, and quarterly net profit was up 51.3% year-on-year to 358.8 billion yen.
