The number of Bluesky users increased by approximately 60% from 25.94 million to 41.41 million in 2025. The number of posts also increased by 1.41 billion, or 61% of all posts ever made, in 2025.

As the total number of posts increased, so did the number of reports of violations of community guidelines. In 2025, the number of reports received from users was 9.97 million, a 54% increase from 6.48 million in 2024. 1.24 million users sent reports.

The breakdown of reports sent is as follows: 4.36 million reports were for 'misleading content,' accounting for 43.73% of the total.

Below is a graph showing the number of reports by month. It shows that the number of reports generally decreased from January to December. The decrease was 50.9%.

Bluesky cites a possible reason for the drastic decrease in the number of reports each month as a result of a decrease in the density of problematic content. From November 2024 onwards, a large influx of users related to the US presidential election led to a period of slowdown in the processing of reports, which may have led to a large number of reports in January 2025. Meanwhile, from May 2025 onwards, the company increased its manpower to deal with activities such as bots and spam, which is likely why reports in this area are decreasing.

Labels, one of Bluesky's key features, are being used successfully. In 2025, 16.49 million labels were applied to accounts and content, a three-fold increase from 5.5 million in 2024. 95.34% of applied labels were automatically applied.
