With this announcement, the AI features of Copilot+ PC, which have been made available to devices with CPUs other than Snapdragon, are broadly divided into five functions, which can be broadly divided into 'accessibility functions' and 'creativity functions'.

◆Accessibility features
Live Captions
The feature provides real-time transcription of audio and content during remote meetings, podcasts, and video playback, and has expanded support for over 40 languages into English and 27 languages into Chinese, with support for AMD and Intel CPU-based devices coming soon.

Voice Access
Voice Access is a feature that allows you to operate your PC or create text by voice input, and users of Snapdragon X series PCs can now access their PCs in more flexible languages with this update. It is also scheduled to be rolled out to AMD and Intel CPU-equipped devices in 2025.

◆ Creativity Function
・Paint's ' Cocreator '
CoCreator is an AI feature that generates beautiful artwork from text prompts and handwritten input, and with this update it is already available on devices with AMD and Intel CPUs.

・Photo's ' Restyle Image' and ' Image Creator '
The last two are new features in the Photos app: Restyle Image allows you to convert your photos into oil paintings, sketches, modern art styles, and more in just a few clicks, while Image Creator uses the Text to Image model to generate images from text prompts.

To use these creativity features, you must sign in to your Microsoft account and update Paint and Photos to the latest version in the Microsoft Store. Also, the text prompts you type are optimized for English.

Microsoft says some of these features will be available through a non-security preview update in March 2025 (assuming the non-security preview update in November 2024), and will be rolled out gradually over the course of a month through a controlled feature rollout (CFR).

Additionally, Copilot+ PC users who want to try it out as soon as possible should go to 'Settings' > 'Windows Update' and turn on 'Get the latest updates as soon as they're available.'
