The Windows interface is excellent when using a trackpad, but when using touch controls, Android wins. The ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid is a device that aims to take the best of both worlds; when a keyboard is attached, it functions as a Windows-based laptop, and when the keyboard is removed, it functions as an Android computer.

The lower half, which is the keyboard part of the device, contains Windows parts such as an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, 32GB of RAM, 1TB of SSD, and a 75Wh battery.

If you remove the keyboard, it becomes an Android tablet. Behind the 14-inch 2.8K OLED display are parts for Android tablets such as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor, 12GB RAM, 256GB flash storage, and a 38Wh battery.

According to a reporter from The Verge who actually tried the product, ``It's quite heavy, but not as heavy as other 2-in-1s,'' ``To separate it, just pull it until it comes off,'' and ``It's effectively two PCs. 'If you want to continue working on Windows on Android, you will need to manually share and move files.'

ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid is scheduled to be released in the United States in the second quarter of 2024 for $ 1,999 (about 290,000 yen). Release date in Japan is undecided.

In addition to the ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid, Lenovo has announced various other products as listed below.
