Japan ranks first among G7 countries in '5G Mobile Trust Score,' with the UK at the bottom
Japan ranked first in a '5G Mobile Trust Score' survey conducted by research firm Opensignal targeting the G7 countries (Japan, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Italy).

The Mobile Trust Score measures your ability to connect to a mobile network and complete basic tasks, and is expressed as a number between 100 and 1,000.
In a survey conducted over a three-month period from July 1 to September 28, 2024, Japan ranked first with 925 points. The list of rankings is as follows:
1st place: Japan 925 points
2nd place: France 887 points
3rd place: Germany 885 points
4th place: United States 884 points
5th place: Canada 878 points
6th place: Italy 861 points
7th place: United Kingdom 859 points
One of the reasons for the UK's last place ranking is that it will ban the installation of Huawei's 5G network equipment from 2021.

OpenSignal also released a report in October 2024 targeting domestic Japanese carriers, in which au won 10 out of 18 categories and shared three categories with other companies, demonstrating its overwhelming reliability.

However, this test only measured reliability, and when comparing the average upload speeds of the G7 countries in 2023, Japan was found to be the slowest.
