With Amazon Autos, customers can now buy a car by:

· Browse and search vehicles available at your local dealership by make, model, trim, color and features.
-Receive an instant valuation and trade in your existing car to help pay for your new car.
- Transparent up-front pricing available.
-You can choose to secure financing or pay in full.
- You can complete the checkout process online.
You can reserve a pick-up time at the dealer.

All of this happens within the convenient Amazon experience that customers know and trust, creating what Amazon calls a 'transparent car-buying process' that's streamlined from search to purchase.

'We are partnering with dealers and brands to redesign car shopping to make it more transparent, convenient, and customer-friendly. With Amazon Autos, we are bringing the simplicity and ease customers expect from Amazon to one of their biggest purchases - car shopping - while giving dealers a new channel to connect with a wider customer base. We are excited to have Hyundai as our exclusive launch partner and look forward to onboarding more brands and expanding options for customers as the program expands. It's still early days for Amazon, but we welcome feedback from customers and dealers as we continue to add new features, add brands, and iterate on the customer experience,' said Hwang Jin, Global Head of Amazon Autos.

For local auto dealers, Amazon Autos gives them a new sales channel to connect with millions of Amazon users. Amazon explained that Amazon Autos 'streamlines the initial online browsing and purchasing process, allowing dealers to focus on the most exciting part of the buying journey: when the customer picks up their new car at the dealership. This in-person experience is the foundation for deep customer loyalty and trusted, long-term relationships.'

With Amazon Autos, users can search for vehicles available from local dealers in one place based on model, trim, color, features, and more. Once users select a vehicle, they can obtain financing, e-sign documents, and complete their order with just a few clicks. After finalizing payment information, customers select a date and time to collect their new car from their local dealer.

Additionally, Amazon Autos offers transparent pricing from local dealers, so there's no need to negotiate price - the price your customer sees at checkout is the price you pay, including all taxes and fees.

Additionally, if a customer is trading in their existing vehicle, they can answer questions about the condition of their vehicle to get a trade-in value estimate, which is provided by an independent third party and applied to the purchase price of their new car through Amazon Autos, streamlining the upgrade process within the familiar Amazon shopping experience. Customers can also complete the process by bringing their trade-in vehicle to the dealer when they are ready to pick up their new car.

'Listing our inventory on Amazon is a game changer for how we connect with car buyers, allowing us to introduce Hyundai vehicles to millions of everyday shoppers while pre-pricing them,' said Steven Su, general sales manager for Hyundai in the San Francisco Bay Area. 'It will enable Hyundai to reach more customers locally through the convenient and transparent experience customers expect when shopping on Amazon. We can build relationships with customers who are excited about receiving their new car. This experience is the foundation for dealerships to succeed in the modernizing economy.'

Amazon Autos will initially only sell new Hyundai vehicles, but plans to expand to other auto brands in 2025. As it expands the vehicle selection available to users, it also plans to add new features, such as expanded leasing and financing options.
