OpenAI officially releases video generation AI 'Sora', available on ChatGPT Plus and Pro plans



OpenAI has developed and officially released 'Sora Turbo' as a new version of the video generation AI 'Sora,' which has been in research preview since February 2024. It will be available to those who subscribe to ChatGPT's Plus and Pro plans.

At the time of writing, it was not possible to create an account due to a sudden increase in access.

Using 'Storyboard,' we set prompts at appropriate intervals to instruct the AI on what kind of video to produce at what point in time.

Sora is available at no extra cost to those who subscribe to ChatGPT's Plus and Pro plans, but there is a limit to the number of credits you can use each month. The number of credits varies depending on the resolution and duration of the video you generate, and at the time of writing, 25 credits are required for a 5-second video at 480p, and 2000 credits are required for a 20-second video at 1080p.

Plus plan users can create videos with a maximum resolution of 720p and a maximum length of 5 seconds, for a total of 1,000 credits per month, while Pro plan users can create videos with a maximum resolution of 1080p and a maximum length of 20 seconds, for a total of 10,000 credits per month. At the time of writing, additional credits cannot be purchased.

Please note that Sora is not available in the UK, EU, or China.
