xAI releases video generation AI 'Grok Imagine 1.0,' surpassing Google's Veo 3.1

Grok Imagine 1.0 supports 'video generation from text' and 'video generation from images.' In Artificial Analysis tests, in which humans are asked to evaluate the AI's performance without naming the model, Grok Imagine came in first in the text-to-video generation category, outperforming high-performance models like Google's Veo 3.1 and OpenAI's Sora 2 Pro.

Grok Imagine also came in first in

the category of generating videos from images .

On the other hand, in

the text-to-video generation category of Arena (formerly LMArena), which also conducts similar tests, it came in fourth place, beating out Veo 3.1 and Sora 2 Pro.
