Mojang Studios, developer of the popular sandbox game Minecraft, has announced that it will partner with Merlin Entertainments, Europe's largest theme park operator, to open Minecraft theme parks in the US and the UK.

Headquartered in the UK, Merlin Entertainments is the world's second largest theme park operator after Disney, and operates more than 135 theme parks in 23 countries around the world, including Legoland and Madame Tussauds .

Merlin Entertainment has announced that it has signed a global strategic partnership with Mojjang Studios called 'Adventures Made Real.' According to Merlin Entertainment, the company plans to open Minecraft theme parks in the United States and the United Kingdom between 2026 and 2027. The theme parks will feature Minecraft-themed accommodation, shops, restaurants, attractions, and more, and Merlin Entertainment will invest $110 million (about 17 billion yen) in the development.



The Minecraft collaboration marks Merlin Entertainment's first partnership with a gaming brand, and the company said in a statement that 'in the long term, Merlin Entertainment plans to expand these experiences to other locations around the world.'
