On October 2, 2024, NVIDIA and Accenture announced a partnership to expand the adoption of AI technology in companies, launching the NVIDIA Business Group to help clients utilize generative AI and building a support system with 3,000 specially trained experts.

'Our collaboration with NVIDIA continues to break new ground, helping clients be at the forefront of using generative AI to spark innovation,' said Julie Sweet, chairman and CEO, Accenture.

Accenture is focusing on 'agent AI systems' in which AI autonomously judges, decides and executes workflows, instead of humans having to directly input prompts or manually automate business processes. The company plans to use NVIDIA's AI stack to accelerate the adoption of agent AI systems in companies.

On the other hand, NVIDIA has a huge advantage in the AI hardware market, but its main customers are limited to a handful of large companies that own large data centers, such as Microsoft, Amazon, and Google.

As a result, investors and analysts are concerned that Nvidia is not getting a return on the huge investment it is making in its infrastructure.

Financial media Bloomberg pointed out that the aim of the partnership is to address these concerns and broaden NVIDIA's customer base, making its AI technology and products even more valuable.

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said in a CNBC interview about the partnership, 'NVIDIA sees Accenture as a company that connects our technology with our customers.' According to Huang, Accenture's Sweet first came up with the idea for the partnership in mid-2024.

Huang also mentioned NVIDIA's next-generation AI chip, Blackwell , saying, 'Demand for Blackwell is insane. Everyone wants the best and everyone wants to be number one.'

Blackwell is said to be capable of running real-time generative AI using large-scale language models (LLMs) with trillions of parameters while consuming 25 times less energy than conventional GPUs. However, there are reports that the production of GPUs equipped with the Blackwell architecture is delayed due to design flaws.

Huang said the Blackwell chip manufacturing process is running at full capacity and is progressing as planned.
