According to the news site 9to5google, when you access songs by artists such as Adele, you will see the following message: 'This video contains content from SESAC. It is not available in your country.'

YouTube explained the matter, saying, 'Despite our best efforts, we were unable to reach an agreement and our license agreement with SESAC has expired. As a result, we have blocked SESAC-related content on YouTube in the US in accordance with copyright law.'



According to news sites Variety and The Verge, songs that can no longer be played include those by Adele, Bob Dylan, Ye (Kanye West), Nirvana, Green Day, REM, Burna Boy, Rush, and others.

A YouTube spokesperson said negotiations with SESAC are continuing and the blockage will be lifted once an agreement is reached.
