Through this partnership with Condé Nast, OpenAI can now display content from various media outlets operated by Condé Nast, including Vogue, The New Yorker, Condé Nast Traveler, GQ, Architectural Digest, Vanity Fair, Wired, and Bon Appétit, within products such as SearchGPT and ChatGPT.

OpenAI said, 'SearchGPT provides direct links to news articles, making it easy for users to explore more detailed content from the source. In the future, we plan to integrate the benefits of these features directly into ChatGPT. We are working with news partners such as Condé Nast to gather feedback on the design and performance of SearchGPT to improve the user experience and inform future updates to ChatGPT.'

'We are committed to working with Condé Nast and other news publishers to enable AI to play a greater role in news discovery and delivery while maintaining accuracy, completeness and the high quality of journalism,' said OpenAI COO Brad Lightcap.

Condé Nast CEO Roger Lynch added, 'Our partnership with OpenAI not only expands the reach of Condé Nast's content, but also allows us to make up for revenue lost to internet search engines.' 'OpenAI is not only transparent and willing to work productively with publishers like us, but also ensures that everyday users receive reliable information and news through their platform.'

The specific terms of the partnership agreement between OpenAI and Condé Nast have not been disclosed. In response, Susan DeCarava, president of the NewsGuild of New York, which represents Condé Nast's editors-in-chief union, said, 'The growing intrusion of AI into journalism is of great concern to the members of the NewsGuild of New York. We request additional details regarding the partnership agreement between OpenAI and Condé Nast to ensure that our members' rights are protected.'
