A video of a giant balloon bursting in super slow motion at 82,000 FPS looks so beautiful it's like CG

The Slow Mo Guys, a YouTuber who shoots various slow-motion videos, has released a video of the moment when a super-large balloon bursts in super slow motion at 82,000 FPS.

Every year, The Slow Mo Guys releases a video of a giant balloon bursting in slow motion, which has become a very popular piece of content.

The high-speed camera used for the shoot was

the Phantom TMX 7510 .

The annual giant balloon is filled with water. It takes about 20 minutes to fill it with water. With normal water pressure, it takes about 3 hours to fill it.

Here's what the balloon looks like after it's been filled with water. It's big enough for two adults to sit side by side.

This is what happens when you explode it.

This is what happens when you shoot the moment a balloon bursts in slow motion.

If you look closely, you can see tiny droplets of water sparkling from the cracks in the rubber.

The balloon burst, but left behind a slime-like glob of water.

Splashes of water fly up on top of the water mass.

After that, the splash disappeared and the mass of water flowed away.

Next, they tried to pop the same balloon with a human body, but the balloon didn't pop even when Dan from The Slow Mo Guys jumped on it.

This time, he dives from a higher altitude in order to pop the balloon.

The balloon burst.

This is shown in super slow motion at 82,000 FPS. When Dan touches the balloon, waves run along its surface.

The cracks spread very smoothly on all sides.

This is what it looks like when the entire balloon breaks.

In the end, only Dan's body remains.

Shooting from a different angle looks like this.

Next, we shot slow-motion video using Freefly Systems' high-speed

Ember S2.5K camera.

It seems they wanted to capture more dynamic footage from the position Dan jumped from.

The Slow Mo Guys also released a long version of the super slow-motion video in which Dan jumped into a giant balloon and the balloon burst. The length of the video is '1 hour 18 minutes 33 seconds', and since the video is in super slow motion, the picture on the screen does not change even after several tens of seconds have passed, so you might think, 'Is it a YouTube loading error?' However, after 18 minutes when the balloon bursts, each droplet of water moves finely, and you can enjoy the beauty as if it were a video created with CG.
