According to reports, Amazon is developing a chat AI with the aim of releasing it in the second half of 2024. The chat AI is being developed under the code name 'Metis' and will be a direct competitor to ChatGPT.

Metis is built on an AI model called 'Olympus,' which is said to have higher performance than Amazon's text generation AI and image generation AI base model ' Amazon Titan .'

It has also been reported that Amazon is developing a new AI assistant called 'Remarkable Alexa' that is a significant improvement over Alexa, but Remarkable Alexa and Metis are partly built on the same infrastructure.
