In the video, CEO Pei said, 'Currently, smartphones have become faster, their display resolutions have improved, and various functions have been added, but the basic experience, including the user experience, has not changed for a really long time. Smartphones are the AI gadgets of the future, and AI has the potential to change the way we use smartphones.'
In addition, CEO Pei revealed that AI will be incorporated into the Nothing Phone (3), which is scheduled to be released in 2025. CEO Pei touts the Nothing Phone (3) as 'Nothing's first true AI smartphone.'
In a demo of Nothing Phone (3) released by CEO Pei, a personalized home screen was shown. This home screen can automatically retrieve and display QR codes for tickets that will be needed soon, and retrieve content from the web to automatically display related reminders, weather, etc. CEO Pei said, 'The idea is that AI can move smartphones away from the app-centric model and always know what the user needs and where they are.'
The Nothing Phone (3) will also be equipped with the voice assistant 'Oliver.'
'We feel that apps on smartphones have become too powerful in recent years. With Nothing, we're trying to give users the option to give some of that power back to their smartphones,' Pei said .
In addition, Nothing has added a feature to its wireless earphones such as Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear(a) that allows you to talk to ChatGPT hands-free without launching the ChatGPT app on your smartphone.
