A box was sent along with a 'Challenge from Fanta.'

Announcing a campaign to guess what flavor 'Fanta Mystery Retro' will be, which will be released on Monday, May 27, 2024. 'Why don't you put off the problem you have to solve for now and solve this mystery first? #Do whatever you want,' is quite provocative.

When you remove the outer packaging, the box looks like this, with doors opening like a double door.

When I opened the inner lid, I found a cherry, a muddler, some Fanta Mystery Retro, and a glass inside.

The bottle design of 'Fanta Mystery Retro' looks like this, with the overall color green.

There is a large question mark drawn on it, and you can take part in a flavor guessing campaign by scanning the QR code.

The ingredients are 'carbonic acid, flavoring, acidulant, sweetener, preservatives, coloring,' which gives no clues. Furthermore, the nutritional information shows that the energy is 0 kcal, as well as the protein, fat, carbohydrates (sugars), and salt equivalent are all 0.

When I poured it into the glass that came with it, it was a brighter 'fluorescent green' color than the dark green of melon soda.

I added the cherry that came with it.

Cherries are heavy, so they will sink if not sandwiched between ice cubes properly. Several people tried it, but their opinions on the taste were quite varied.

The following is a summary of each of their opinions.

Editor A: I don't like the taste of artificial sweeteners. I can't feel any sweetness, and it has a bitter taste and a greenness like vegetable juice. It reminds me of cucumber or the 'white part of watermelon'.
Editor B: It has a slight sweetness and a hint of grassiness, so it might be kiwi flavor. However, the sweetness that remains after drinking it reminds me of canned fruit syrup, so it might be fruit punch.
Editor C: To be honest, it tastes like an artificial sweetener. It tastes like blue Hawaii shaved ice, not melon.
Editor D: It tastes like banana, especially the blackened sweet spot. But when I drink it again, it definitely has a greenish flavor, so it might be apricot flavor.

... The taste is so different that opinions are divided, so please try it and find out what flavor it is. The answer will be announced on the official website and social media at 10:00 on June 10, 2024.
