'Pls fix' - Pay current TikTok and Instagram employees to restore banned accounts

When your SNS account is frozen, it is common to contact the support center and have it restored, but in some cases it may take time or be left unattended. In such cases, a website called ' pls fix ' has been launched that matches people who are willing to pay money to receive special support with employees of SNS companies. However, many people have pointed out that this is unethical, as it amounts to 'requesting fraudulent activity.'

When you access pls fix, you will see the following:

The posts are listed from left to right by title, platform, reward amount, and posting date. Some are jokey posts like 'Suck my cock,' others are requests for Microsoft employees to restore 'old Hotmail from before 2000,' and still others are complaints that X's account has been frozen.

According to

the FAQ , the seven companies that support it are Amazon, Apple, Google, Meta, Microsoft, Snapchat, and TikTok. When employees of these companies register their personal addresses, such as '@google.com' for Google, they are authenticated as technical employees, and users can request requests and compensation amounts from technical employees of each company.

The administrator of pls fix explained why he launched the site: 'I used to work at Meta and Google, and I would often receive calls from people who had their accounts suspended and restore their accounts. But isn't it a bit unfair that only people who happen to get their accounts restored by chance? I understand that it's not realistic for a large company to support all of their billions of users, but people who really need their accounts restored should have the option to pay for real support. That's why I created pls fix.'

Please note that pls fix does not allow monetary transactions, but only connects people who want to make requests with technical employees. Therefore, users must arrange their own means of payment, and pls fix does not guarantee that requests will actually be fulfilled.

When the administrator of pls fix announced the launch of the site on the social news site Hacker News and asked for feedback, the thread was flooded with comments that it amounted to corruption.

For example, one Hacker News user cites a section of California's criminal code, where Google and Apple are based, which states, 'An employee who, without the employer's knowledge or consent, uses his or her position for the benefit of any person and corruptly receives money or anything of value in return, or who gives money or anything of value to an employee , is guilty of commercial bribery,' pointing out that it is a crime in most places.

In the United States, where tipping is a culture, people who give generous tips at restaurants sometimes receive better service than customers at other tables. When asked what is acceptable about this, the answer given is that it is not a problem because employers are aware of it.

There are also posts pointing out ethical issues and compliance violations, as well as posts expressing concern that ' accounts that have been frozen for illegal content will often be reactivated by giving money to employees of the social networking site.'

On the other hand, there have been cases of poor support for social media users caught up in false positives, with one user stating, 'Given how arbitrary social media punishments can be, to me this site seems like a sign of the times.'
