To commemorate the Osaka-Kansai Expo, JAL has announced that it will operate the Miyakumyaku JET No. 2 aircraft on international routes from June 3, 2025. The aircraft will be painted with a special design featuring the Expo's official mascot, 'Myakumyaku.'

The 2025 World Expo (Osaka-Kansai Expo) is scheduled to be held in Yumeshima, Osaka from April 13 to October 13, 2025. JAL will operate J-AIR's Embraer 190 aircraft, which is based at Osaka Itami Airport, on domestic routes as MyakumyakuJET from November 28, 2023, but will operate a new Boeing 787-8 aircraft as MyakumyakuJET No. 2 on international routes from June 3, 2024.

Routes in operation include 'Haneda to Dalian, Shanghai (Pudong), Seoul (Gimpo), Taipei (Songyama), Ho Chi Minh City,' 'Narita to Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok,' and 'Kansai to Bangkok and Taipei (Taoyuan),' and are scheduled to operate until around August 2025.
