A bug that occurred in October 2023 is that on Google Pixel devices updated to Android 14, when multiple user profiles are set, ``internal storage cannot be accessed'', ``launcher repeatedly crashes'', and ``restored to factory defaults''. It will be reset and all data not backed up will be erased.''

In addition, there have been reports such as ``Unable to play all media including videos on YouTube and websites,'' ``Camera not working properly,'' and ``Some apps will not start.''

Regarding this issue, some usersreported that they had enabled their work profile using the multi-user feature, while others stated that they had not configured multiple user profiles. It is unclear whether multiple user profiles are involved in the issue.

In addition, the devices reported to have this problem include all Pixel series such as 'Google Pixel Fold', 'Pixel 8', 'Pixel 7', 'Pixel 6', and 'Pixel 5'.

News site ArsTechnica points out that the January 2024 update does not have any outstanding causes that would make storage access impossible.

In response to bug reports from users, Google responded , ``We are currently investigating this issue. We will notify you again when the issue is fixed.''
