At the end of the event, an actual 'Speed Ultra 7' vehicle appeared at the venue.
At the event, CEO Rai said, ``If you just want to make a car, all you need is 300 to 400 people and about 1 billion yuan (about 20 billion yen), then you just need to find a benchmark car and reverse engineer it.'' However, it is very difficult to make a good car.''

Based on this, we created the high-end EV 'Speed Ultra 7', and CEO Rai said, ``Our goal is to create a dream car that rivals Porsche and Tesla. 'I intend to make Porsche's Taycan Turbo comparable to Tesla's Model S in terms of technical features,' he said, revealing his dream of building Xiaomi into a top five automaker within the next 20 years.
By the way, Xiaomi announced its entry into the EV market in March 2021, and CEO Lightning revealed that it would invest 10 billion yuan (about 204 billion yen) in the EV project. In August 2023, the domain 'XiaomiEV.com' was acquired.
In China, all cars require regulatory approval before being launched on the market, so information on the SU7 was released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) as of November 2023, when it applied for sales approval ahead of this launch event. It had been announced.

The vehicle dimensions are 4997mm in length, 1963mm in width, 1455mm in height, and a 5-seater sedan with a wheelbase of 3000mm.
Wheel diameters are 19 inches and 20 inches, and tire specs are 245/45R19 and 245/40R20.
There is also an option to integrate a LiDAR sensor behind the windshield. The control system is equipped with HyperOS, which was independently developed by Xiaomi.
There are three models: SU7, SU7 Pro, and SU7 Max, and the higher-end model is said to be equipped with an active rear wing.
The electric motor is a TZ220XS000 manufactured by the Chinese company United Automotive Electronic, and the battery capacity will change depending on whether it is a single motor configuration or a dual motor configuration. According to Rai CEO, the motor can rotate at 21,000 revolutions per minute, and the SU7 can accelerate from 0 km/h to 100 km/h in about 2.78 seconds.
The sales price was not revealed at the announcement event, but economic newspaper Bloomberg reports that it will be priced between 200,000 yuan (approximately 4.1 million yen) and 300,000 yen, which is much cheaper than Porsche's Taycan Turbo or Tesla's Model S. It is expected to be 6.1 million yen (about 6.1 million yen).
SU7 will be manufactured by Beijing Automobile Industry Holding Co., Ltd. (BAIC), not Xiaomi, and deliveries are scheduled to begin in February 2024.
