Cybertruck is an EV pickup truck announced in November 2019 that claims to be ``more practical than a truck and has better performance than a sports car,'' and its crisp, futuristic appearance has attracted attention. In the article below, you can check out the official video that Tesla showed off at the delivery event held on November 30, 2023, demonstrating the high performance of the Cybertruck.

While the delivery of the Cybertruck became a hot topic, Tesla enthusiast Nic Cruz Patane reported on X (formerly Twitter) that the Cybertruck has a hidden feature called ``Wade Mode''. The word 'Wade' has the meaning of 'crossing a river or muddy area,' so Wade mode seems to be a function for crossing rivers, puddles, etc.
Looking at the photo posted by Mr. Patane, you can see that there is an item called 'Wade Mode' at the bottom of the infotainment screen, which seems to be the off-road settings menu. The description states, ``When driving through water, the vehicle height increases, which puts pressure on the battery.''
At the delivery event, the Cybertruck's towing capacity, acceleration performance, and bulletproof performance were highlighted, but no mention was made of its underwater driving capabilities. However, if you watch the official Cybertruck video, you can see a glimpse of it crossing a river.

Musk also said in October 2022, ``The Cybertruck is waterproof enough to act as a temporary boat, allowing it to cross rivers, lakes, and even oceans with less violent waves.'' X, suggesting that the Cybertruck will be able to drive underwater.

According to The Drive, a media specializing in vehicles, the Rivian R1T , a pickup truck released by American EV manufacturer Rivian, is also capable of driving underwater at a depth of 3 feet (approximately 90 cm) by raising the vehicle height. There is no mention of the 'pressure' function. The Drive pointed out that 'EV batteries are typically already sealed from water, so the on-demand pressurization envisioned by Cybertruck remains questionable.'
