According to a post on the AWS News Blog, the benefits of Amazon WorkSpaces Thin Client from the perspective of corporate IT administrators are as follows.

·cost
Amazon WorkSpaces Thin Client is $195 (about 29,000 yen) for the main body only version, and $ 279.99 (about 41,500 yen) for the version that includes the 'Dual Screen Extension Hub', which is a notebook version. It's much cheaper than a PC. The work environment is centrally configured and managed, which further reduces costs by reducing the amount of work required on site. It is also stated that the risk of failure is low because the device itself is simple.

·Security
Devices are shipped with a secure 'secret' that is used to establish a trust relationship with the management service. There's no data storage on your device, so you don't have to worry about installing rogue apps trying to steal your data. It also helps reduce the risk of a data breach if an employee leaves the company without returning their employer-issued laptop.

・Ease of management
Administrators can easily create new environments for users or groups of users, distribute activation codes, and manage the environments through the AWS Management Console. Schedule software updates and patches, check compliance, and manage users over time.

·ease of use
Users can unbox and connect their devices in minutes, enter their activation code to log into their virtual desktop environment, and start working right away. You can focus on your job without having to be responsible for installing software patches and updates.
