It turns out that some 'Pixel 8 Pro' displays are raised
Some users have reported that their Pixel 8 Pro has a protrusion that appears to be the result of something being pressed against the back of the display. Google acknowledged the existence of the protrusion and issued a statement.

From around November 20, 2023, several users who own the flagship smartphone 'Pixel 8 Pro' released by Google in 2023 reported that ``When you look closely at the display with the screen darkened, some parts become raised. It was reported that 'I can see it.'

Users who have disassembled the Pixel 8 Pro have pointed out that some of the components overlap at the position of the protrusion. This suggests that the components may have been pressed against the display as they spend more time touching the screen, or that the manufacturing process may have caused dents.
After this point was made on the news site 9to5google, Google said, ``When the screen is off or under certain lighting conditions, some users may notice small bumps caused by components inside the device. 'The device's performance or durability will not be affected.'
Users who reported the bumps say that ``touch functionality or image quality is not affected,'' but they are worried that the bumps will worsen over time and damage the display. Some are asking for extended warranties in case the problem worsens.
