T2 is an SNS that was conceived by former Twitter employee Gabor Sell and launched in January 2023 following the acquisition of Twitter by Elon Musk. Mr. Cell was worried about Twitter, which had become a mess due to the acquisition, and planned to create a ``very simple copy of Twitter with some simplifications'' to bring back the early Twitter. T2 was launched as a Twitter-like service that allowed users to post up to 280 characters, and later changed its name to Pebble to make a breakthrough.

Immediately after the acquisition of Twitter, there have been a number of cases where people have left Twitter, whose atmosphere has changed significantly due to API charges and algorithm changes, and are switching to alternative services such as Bluesky and Mastodon. Among these, Pebble is also similar to Twitter. The service has been attracting attention from some quarters. Still, Pebble is much smaller than competing services, with fewer than 1,000 users

reported as of April 2023.

Approximately nine months after the release, Mr. Sell issued a message on Pebble titled ``Notice from the team'' stating that Pebble would be closed on November 1, 2023. This post has received 37 replies, 69 reposts, and 93 likes at the time of writing.

“We weren't able to grow fast enough to convince investors, and with so many competing options, the challenges just kept getting bigger and bigger,” Sell said. , it required even more investment and time.'' 'It's hard to believe that so many people, both existing organizations and new ones, are trying to do the same things we do, in the same way,' he said, citing intense competition from rivals. I didn’t,” he added.

According to technology media TechCrunch, T2's daily active users at one time reached 3,000, but after the brand was changed from T2 to Pebble, the number decreased to about 1,000.

Pebble returned the remaining funds to investors and began offering an option to archive and download user posts on Pebble.
