Google Pixel Watch 2 opening ceremony & quick photo review, comparing how it differs from the original Pixel Watch

Google's genuine smart watch ' Google Pixel Watch 2 ' arrived today, October 12, 2023, the release date, so I compared it to the original Google Pixel Watch to see what was different.

Pull out the contents from the bottom of the outer box.

When opening the contents, Pixel Watch 2 appeared.

This is Pixel Watch 2.

A replacement band was stored in the right sleeve.

The replacement band (L) looks like this.

The other side had a USB Type-C fast charging cable.

Cable length is approximately 1 meter.

Charge it by attaching it to the back of Pixel Watch 2 with a magnet as shown below.

There are documents under the cable.

There are two documents: a start guide and a guide for safe use.

If the crown is on the right side, the speaker is on the left side.

There is a crown and buttons on the right side. The crown also functions as a push button, so there are two buttons that can be used for operation.

To remove the band, press the fixing button at the base of the band and slide the band in the direction of the fixing button, to the right in the photo below.

It came off.

To set the band (L), attach the band in the reverse order. There are bands for people with a wrist circumference of 130 to 175 mm (S) and bands for people with a wrist circumference of 165 to 210 mm (L), so you can choose the band that suits your physique.

Below is how I put it back on the band (S) and tried wearing it.

When you pass the clasp through the hole and then lift the belt to pass it through the hole, the clasp may come off, so it may take some time for first-time wearers.

From here, let's compare the appearance by placing the Pixel Watch 2 on the left and the original Pixel Watch on the right.

The board surface looks like this. The Pixel Watch 2 has a diameter of 41mm, a height of 12.3mm, and a weight of 31g. The Pixel Watch is also 41mm in diameter x 12.3mm in height, so the size is exactly the same. The Pixel Watch 2 is 5g lighter than the original Pixel Watch, making it slightly easier to handle.

The back material of the Pixel Watch 2 is made of aluminum, while the original Pixel Watch is made of stainless steel, so the texture is slightly different.

There are no major changes on the left side.

If you compare the right side, you can see that the crown of Pixel Watch 2 is slightly larger. This makes it easier to turn the crown of Pixel Watch 2.

Pixel Watch 2 and Pixel Watch have the same operation methods, such as swiping the screen and gestures, as well as ``pushing in the crown to bring up a list of apps, and the button next to it to call up recently used apps.'' In other words, the Pixel Watch 2 has the same usability as the Pixel Watch, but it also has AI functions enhanced by the quad-core CPU and high-precision health functions made possible by an updated sensor group, so those who want to switch from the original Pixel Watch. It can also be said to be perfect for people who want to introduce a Google smart watch for the first time.
