You can quickly select the files you need from the menu on the left. 'Shared' displays shared files regardless of how they are shared or who is sharing them. 'Favorites' displays your favorite files across OneDrive, Teams, Explorer, Microsoft 365, etc. Sometimes when you're sharing a file, you can't remember exactly which file it is, but you know who shared it with you. In such cases, you can select 'Browse by People' and the files will be displayed for each worker. Browse by Meeting also shows past and upcoming meetings, along with recorded and shared files.
In addition, by December 2023, users will be able to open any file, edit it, and sync changes with OneDrive, just like opening Word, PowerPoint, or Excel files in their respective apps. It will be provided.
The OneDrive Teams app also makes it easy to access all your SharePoint and OneDrive files from Teams. It looks just like the OneDrive app, but if you look at the menu on the far left, you'll see that it's open in the 'OneDrive' section within Teams.
Similarly, OneDrive will be added to Outlook within the navigation menu by December 2023. This allows you to copy and paste shared links into emails and find shared files without having to close Outlook.
In addition, Copilot, an AI assistant function for OneDrive and SharePoint, will be available to all users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license by December 2023. With the help of Copilot, you will be able to search for files in natural language and ask for an overview of files with open-ended questions.
