I tried the chicken version of Genghis Khan ``Tori-chan'', which is grilled chicken mixed with miso sauce or soy sauce, at the famous Gifu restaurant ``Honmachi Romance''.

Arrived at Tajimi Station.
'Honmachi Romance' is located right in front of the south exit of Tajimi Station.
When you check the location on Google Maps, it looks like this.
I had heard that there was a high chance of eating chicken at a restaurant in Gifu, so I checked the menu at the entrance to Honmachi Romance. The chicken was being promoted in the most prominent place.
I went in and checked the menu again. Tori-chan can be miso-flavored, soy sauce-flavored, or salty depending on the region and family, but Honmachi Romance offers miso-flavored ``Miso Tori-chan'' and soy sauce-flavored ``Shoyu Tori-chan''. It was lined up. I will order both without hesitation.
'Soy Sauce Chicken' (left) and 'Miso Chicken' (right) were delivered in about 10 minutes. An iron plate lined with cooking paper is placed on the tabletop stove, and the chicken and vegetables are simmering on top of it. It continued to be heated even after it was delivered, and the scent of soy sauce and miso sauce was spreading.
The vegetables used for chicken vary widely depending on the region and family, such as ``just cabbage'' or ``cabbage and bean sprouts.'' Honmachi Romance's chicken came with cabbage and onions. Also, chili peppers are sprinkled on top of the chicken and vegetables.
First of all, when you try to eat 'Miso Chicken-chan', the fat that seeps out from the chicken and the sweet miso sauce get involved, and the spiciness of the chili pepper is added to it, and the chopsticks go on. The chicken comes with skin on, so you can enjoy the softness of the skin as it oozes out the fat and the crunch of the cabbage at the same time.
It has a sweet, spicy, and strong flavor that goes perfectly with rice. It seems like you can eat as much rice as you want with just one piece of chicken.
Next, I will try 'Soy Sauce Chicken'.
``Miso Tori-chan'' had a sweet taste that emphasized the richness of fat, but the soy sauce sauce of ``Shoyu Tori-chan'' had a very light seasoning, and the fatty chicken was easily eaten. It turned out to be a refreshing dish. “Miso chicken” and “soy sauce chicken” had very different tastes, so if you can’t decide, I recommend trying both.
As I continued eating and ran out of toppings, I discovered that there was something on the menu called ``finishing rice.''
When I ordered the ``finishing rice,'' the waiter put the rice on the ``Miso Chicken'' iron plate and made it into fried rice.
The sweet and salty miso sauce, the flavor of the chicken, and the sweetness of the vegetables all permeated the rice, resulting in an incredibly rich fried rice. I was able to enjoy the rich taste even when most of the ingredients were gone, but the staff said, ``It will be even more delicious if there are more ingredients left,'' so those who are about to eat it will be able to enjoy the rich taste. We recommend ordering the ``final meal'' while you're there.
