Inaki Godoi, who plays the main character Monkey D. Luffy in the manga-original drama `` ONE PIECE '' delivered as a Netflix original series, has released a video of visiting the original author, Eiichiro Oda. Mr. Oda talks about the parts that he thought were difficult in live-action imaging.
Mr. Inaki, who came to Japan, decided to meet Mr. Eiichiro Oda, the original author. Mr. Oda occasionally appears in the media, but since he does not show his face, Mr. Inaki expresses that he can meet a secret person like Batman.
Mr. Oda calls out 'Inyaki!' and the two hug tightly.
Regarding the live-action film adaptation, Mr. Oda recalled that when the serialization started, it was not an era where works like ONE PIECE could be visualized.
After that, due to the advancement of CG and VFX technology, he said that he thought, 'I can do it if I leave it to a reliable staff.'
However, the difficult point is 'Can you find a person like Luffy?'
Mr. Oda met Mr. Inaki while auditioning over and over again. When Mr. Oda saw Mr. Inaki, he felt that it was 'Luffy' and laughed unintentionally.
On the other hand, Mr. Inaki, who loves ONE PIECE and said it was a dream to play Luffy, said, 'My wish is to play Luffy for a long time.'
Mr. Inaki's Luffy is endorsed by the original author, 'I can't imagine anyone but you.'
Mr. Inaki wrote a letter with an illustration of Luffy for Mr. Oda. I directly conveyed a message of gratitude, 'Thank you for ONE PIECE and Luffy.'
Mr. Oda also said, 'I'm grateful that you were born like Luffy.'
At the end, Mr. Oda entrusted the straw hat to Mr. Inaki.
The Netflix original series `` ONE PIECE '' will be exclusively distributed worldwide from Thursday, August 31, 2023.
