In the cast announcement video, Mr. Inaki Godoy, who played Luffy in the drama, and Mayumi Tanaka, who plays Luffy in the anime, face to face.

Comments from each cast are as follows.

Mr. Mayumi Tanaka as Monkey D. Luffy:
I've been playing Luffy for over 23 years since then, and I think everyone has Luffy in their hearts.
This time, the live-action version of Inaki-kun is also fun and amusing, and really fits Luffy!!
I am very happy to be able to voice Luffy in the live-action version.
In the work ONE PIECE, the words that resonate and the way you see them change depending on your situation and position, and you can make new discoveries over and over again.
I would be happy if people who have never touched the work yet, regardless of age or gender, would like to become friends with 'ONE PIECE' from here.

Mr. Kazuya Nakai as Roronoa Zoro:
Ever since I heard that Mackenyu Nitta would play the role of Zoro in the live-action version, I've been wondering about dubbing.
What kind of format would be best for those who watch it?
To be honest, I was really happy when I decided to participate.
It seems that my true intention was that I wanted to act as long as it was Zoro.
I will do my best not to lose the charm of the really cool Mackenyu Zoro.
The world of the original manga 'ONE PIECE' is expanding, so there are new scenes that can be drawn everywhere.
A live-action version that will excite even those who are light, and will satisfy even those who are inexperienced.
Please look forward to it.

Akemi Okamura as Nami:
When I heard that a live-action version was being made, I wanted to go on an adventure in the live-action world as well! I thought from the bottom of my heart!!
I'm really happy to be able to experience it again from my encounter with the crew.
Forget the adventures you've had so far, and challenge the sea of adventure that spreads out in front of you with a fresh feeling.
The world of live-action 'ONE PIECE' is more exciting than I imagined.
The characters jumping out of the picture are very real and heart-pounding...!
I want to deliver this thrilling excitement to everyone as soon as possible!!
Look forward to it♡

Mr. Kappei Yamaguchi as Usopp:
How many years have passed since I heard that 'ONE PIECE will do a live action!'
I think it was before the corona was raging in the world.
From then on, as a fan of ONE PIECE, I was looking forward to its completion.
However, I am overjoyed and excited to be able to play the beginning of an adventure with my East Blue friends again this time.
Once again, the live-action version made me realize again that the work ONE PIECE and the character Usopp are special to me.
'ONE PIECE' is a little different from the original and the anime
But the underlying spirit is the world that everyone wants to see!
A fucking funny live-action version has been completed!!

Mr. Hiroaki Hirata as Sanji:
I've been working in the anime version for a long time, so the age difference with Sanji has long since become paralyzed, but dubbing a live-action young actor made me feel a little bit scared.
And he's so handsome!
I feel so sorry for Taz Skylar, but in Japan, there have been many real handsome Sanji who have worked hard to match my clumsy lines on various stages. I would like to do my best to dub with the meaning of atonement.
Taz-chan, I'll take good care of you!
Let's call Kazuya Macken a gafun with the strongest tag team!!!
Dear ladies, let yourself be spoiled by Taz's cool smile♡

The Netflix series 'ONE PIECE' will be exclusively distributed from Thursday, August 31, 2023.
