Four people arrested on suspicion of killing a woman who chased a stolen car with AirTag
Police have arrested four suspects in a case where a woman who was looking for her stolen car using Apple's lost item tracker `` AirTag '' was shot dead by a thief group.

On March 19, 2023, Victoria Anna Marie Hampton, 61, was found shot in the driveway at Block 5600 of Ginger Drive in Bakersfield, Kern County, California. Hampton was taken to hospital in critical condition and died on April 1.
According to the Kern County coroner's office, Hampton's cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head.
A Bakersfield Police investigation found that Mr. Hampton used AirTag to track the stolen car without notifying the police.
Bakersfield Police have arrested four men in connection with Hampton's murder. None of them were residents of Bakersfield.
By putting AirTag in a bag or wallet, it is used as a countermeasure against lost items that allows you to know the location immediately even if it is lost. .
On the other hand, it has also been reported that car thieves attach AirTag to the car targeted in the parking lot of the shopping mall and steal it while it is parked at home.
