I tried it because it became possible to customize the selection algorithm of posts to be displayed on the timeline, such as 'display only cat-related posts' and 'display only popular posts' on Twitter-style SNS 'Bluesky'

Distributed SNS '

Bluesky ' has a ' My Feeds ' function that displays only posts according to a specific algorithm, such as 'display only posts about cats' and 'display popular posts from users you follow'. was introduced. The mechanism of the algorithm is open to the public, and anyone can freely create a custom algorithm.

'My Feeds' is a function that works similar to Twitter's 'list', creating a timeline separate from 'Following' that displays posts from users who are following, and posts based on algorithms there is to display.

This is Bluesky's home screen. 'Following' displayed now is the default timeline, and 'What's Hot' and 'Popular With Friends' are timelines of 'My Feeds' respectively.

To manage the feeds to be displayed, tap 'My Feeds' from the menu screen.

You can see the list of added feeds here. Added by default are ' What's Hot', which shows trending content picked from across the network, and 'What's Hot ', which shows posts from users you follow and the most popular content that users you follow like. Popular With Friends ', ' What's Hot Classical ' which reproduces the original What's Hot (a feed that displays popular posts), and ' Bluesky Team ' which displays posts from the Bluesky team.

Tap each feed to see the posts displayed. By tapping the pin icon in the upper right, you can choose whether or not to display the feed on the home screen.

For other feeds, tap 'Discover new feeds' to search.

At a quick glance, there were about 50 types of feeds, such as ' Mutuals ,' which displays the content of people you follow each other, and ' Cat Pics ,' which displays only cat images. Anyone can create such a feed, but it requires a 'technical process' to create it. A future update will allow users to easily create custom feeds within the app.

A kit for creating your own feed is available at the link below.
