Mr. Srinivasan Venkatachary returned to Google, and his title after his return is Vice President of Engineering.

In 2015, Venkatachary, who was originally at Google, established a search recommendation technology startup 'Laserlike' with fellow engineers Anand Shukla and Steven Baker.

With Apple's acquisition of Laserlike in 2018, the three became members of Apple and worked under James Manyika, senior vice president of technology and social affairs. Venkatachary was the senior director of a search team with at least 200 members. This search team is separate from the team responsible for the search results of the App Store, and has developed the iPhone and Mac search functions `` Spotlight '' and `` Siri Suggestions '' to improve the answer support of the voice assistant Siri.

It is unknown whether Mr. Venkatachary's return to Google this time was a single move, or Mr. Shukla and Mr. Baker, who both worked on Mr. Manyika's team, left the company at the same time.

Apple is believed to be developing its own search engine, and it will be a big loss if the main staff leaves.
