The live-action movie of 'Whisper of the Heart' was announced in January 2020.

The director and screenwriter is

Yuichiro Hirakawa , who worked on ' The Promised Neverland ,' ' Erased,' and 'Flowers in the Shadows.'

Ten years later, Seiji Amasawa will be Tori Matsuzaka , and Shizuku Tsukishima will be Nana Seino.

Tsubasa Nakagawa will play the role of Seiji Amasawa in junior high school, and Rina Yasuhara will play the role of Shizuku Tsukishima.

In addition, the title is read aloud at the end of the special news video by Yoko Honna who played the role of Shizuku in the animated movie version by Studio Ghibli released in 1995. By the way, it was Issei Takahashi who played Seiji Amasawa in the animated movie version.

The live-action movie version of 'Whisper of the Heart' will be released on October 14, 2022 (Friday).
