According to The Hidden Palace, these materials were discovered by only one person, and The Hidden Palace and the Internet Archive worked together to catalog the files. The total amount of data is 850GB or more.

Much of the data was stored on media that could deteriorate if stored for long periods of time, such as CD-Rs and DVD-Rs, so it was imaged using either Power ISO or CloneCD. ..

If you look at the published list , you'll see that the same work may have a different dated version, or the label may have an 'E3 demo' on it.

For example, FINAL FANTASY X includes a prototype created on October 26, 2001.

You can see that the saved media is a DVD-R and the label says 'Final Fantasy X Previewable (Completion 80%)'.

Only unpublished prototypes and unreleased revisions are published. Still, the work has not been completed yet, and there are a lot of 'prototypes to dig deeper'. It is unknown how much is left, and the schedule for when the second information will be released has not been revealed.
