I tried using 'Vegetable-eating Dandan Udon Base' which makes spicy dandan udon with plenty of vegetables just by using a microwave.
Cut vegetables, which are often sold at supermarkets, are convenient ingredients that can be eaten without washing or cutting the vegetables, but it is difficult to think of ways to use them other than stir-frying them, so they tend to get boring. At that time, I discovered Kikkoman's

This is the packaging for 'Taberu Vegetable Dandan Udon Base.' I wonder if you can really make authentic dandan udon just like in the picture by just popping it in the microwave.
When checking the names of ingredients, you will see ingredients that are typical of dandan udon, such as sesame paste, ground sesame, and pork.
If you make it according to the amount written on the back, one serving will be 369 kcal.
When I checked the ingredients and how to make it, I found that the only ingredients were one bag of cut vegetables, one bowl of frozen udon noodles, and 100ml of water. The cut vegetables were recommended to be 'stir-fried vegetables with bean sprouts.' You will also need a deep microwave-safe dish.
I immediately bought some cut vegetables and frozen udon noodles.
So I started cooking right away. I was told that a deep plate with a diameter of about 20cm is best.
Next, take the frozen udon noodles out of the bag without thawing them and place them on a plate.
Put 'Vegetable-eating Dandan Udon Base' on top of the frozen udon...
Place the chopped vegetables on top.
Then, pour in 100ml of water. The illustration on the recipe does not show water, so be careful not to forget to add the water .
After adding water, cover with plastic wrap...
Heat in a 600W microwave for 7 minutes.
This is what it looks like after 7 minutes in the microwave. The wrap is cloudy from the steam.
Remove the wrap and mix well and it's done.
When you eat it, you can strongly smell the sesame. Also, it contains finely minced pork, so it has a great dandan udon feel. The spicy flavor of the Sichuan peppercorns stimulates your appetite, so you can eat it all the way to the end without getting bored. Since it was only cooked in the microwave, I was worried about how well the vegetables and udon would be cooked, but when I actually tried it, it was cooked just right.
...If you complete it properly, it's a quick and easy & delicious tantan udon, but the illustration of how to make it doesn't show the process of adding water, so be careful not to forget to add water. If you forget to add water, it will become like fried udon like the picture below, which is not bad in itself, but adding water definitely improves the texture of the vegetables and udon.
'Vegetable Dandan Udon Base' is on sale nationwide for 220 yen (excluding tax).
