A tumbler 'Stojo' review that folds into a pechanco and is easy to carry

Hydration is especially important when the temperature rises, but the problem is that carrying a water bottle increases the amount of luggage. The Stojo , a portable tumbler that can be folded and stored compactly, is convenient when you want to be as light as possible or want to leave space in your bag. Some coffee chains and convenience stores offer discounts if you bring a tumbler, so I actually tried out the usability of Stojo.

The Collapsible, Reusable Cup – Stojo

You can see how 'Stojo' is transformed by watching the following movie.

How compact will the tumbler 'Stojo' be? -YouTube

There are two types of tumbler type Stojo, the 'Biggie' with a capacity of 470 ml and the 'Pocket Cup' with a capacity of 355 ml. It was in a bag-like package.

When you remove the package, it looks like this.

The size of the biggie is 138 mm in height, the diameter of the spout is 100 mm, the height of the pocket cup is 127 mm, and the diameter of the spout is 90 mm. The height of the biggie is almost the same as the iPhone SE with a total length of 138.4 mm.

The biggie has a silicone straw and the pocket cup has no straw.

The lid of the cup looks like this. The silicon stopper prevents the contents from leaking.

When disassembling all the parts, all 4 parts of the cup, sleeve and lid (bottom and top).

Since the cup part is silicon, it deforms squishy. The sleeve and lid are made of polypropylene and are hard, so they will not deform.

Inside the cup was a line showing the capacity of 355ml, 296ml and 237ml.

There is an accordion-like crease on the side of the cup ...

When a force is applied in the vertical direction, the cup becomes smaller according to this crease.

You need to remove the sleeve once when folding. You can leave the lid on.

If you apply force from above ...

In a blink of an eye. You don't have to fold each crease one by one, and you can store it compactly according to the creases even if you put a lot of effort into it.

Since the sleeve can be stored in a pechanco state, the sleeve does not interfere with carrying.

This completes storage.

Biggie can also be disassembled into 4 main parts and straws.

Biggie had four lines of 473ml, 414ml, 355ml and 296ml.

The lid part is also hard with polypropylene, but since the cup is silicon, it deforms squishy.

The size is different, but like the pocket cup, if you apply force from above with the sleeve removed ...

To Pechanko.

It is OK if you open the lid and store the straw in a pechanco state.

Since the main body and stopper are silicon, the liquid inside may leak. I was worried, so I experimented to see if there was a liquid leak.

I tried to see if 'Stojo' leaked liquid-YouTube

Pour water into Stojo ...

Close the lid tightly. Check if the stopper is properly fitted.

Even if it is tilted or turned upside down in this state, there is no water leakage.

Even if you lay it on its side and roll it around ...

No liquid leaked when shaken with the face down.

Also, since the sleeve is a hard material, the liquid will not leak even if you press it tightly from the side of the cup.

Furthermore, it was okay to push it tightly with the sleeve removed.

However, when I pushed it tightly from the side without a sleeve and shake it up and down, the water drips as expected. However, the liquid does not leak out, and it feels like water drops are falling. I experimented with the assumption that liquid leakage is severe because it is a soft material, but it seems that liquid leakage will not be a problem in everyday use.

The heat-resistant temperature is 200 degrees for the silicon part and 100 degrees for the polypropylene part, so microwave ovens are not possible, but hot tea etc. can be added. When I actually pour hot water ...

The silicon part was quite hot and it seemed difficult to hold it in minutes ...

When I put on the sleeve, the heat was considerably relieved.

Some coffee chains and convenience stores offer discounts if you bring your own cup, so I brought it to Starbucks.

A feeling of this size compared to a tall size cup. In Starbucks, the tall size is 350 ml and the grande is 470 ml, so the pocket cup is tall and the biggie is about the same as the grande.

I tried to bring a cup and order ...

'I can't keep my cup as part of the measures against the new coronavirus,' so I was able to get a 20 yen discount per drink by bringing my cup, but I had to replace it myself.

When I poured a tall-sized latte into a pocket cup, it was the perfect size.

It has a sleeve so it doesn't feel cold when you hold it, and it's much more leak-proof than a Starbucks plastic cup, so it's useful when you're returning a drink.

When drinking, remove the stopper like this. There was no particular difficulty in drinking.

The size does not matter for the cup discount, so even a grande-sized iced coffee is discounted by 20 yen.

This was also the perfect size.

Biggies have straws that make them even easier to drink.

The point to worry about after use is the ease of washing, but since all parts of Stojo can be disassembled, it was possible to wash even the smallest details firmly and easily.

The point of Stojo is that it has abundant color variations, and at the time of writing the article, the pocket cup starts from 1650 yen including tax ...
