ISO publishes the world's first draft of 'international standardization on drone flight'
By Eversource NH
Drone, which anyone can stably fly, is really useful and fun, but there are also cases when the birthdays are shallow and there are some decisive rules regarding how to use it. To make it a step forward from that situation, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has started drafting international standardization standards on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles such as drone (flight rules), and its draft has been announced.
ISO / CD 21384-1 - Unmanned aircraft systems - Part 1: General specification

The first global drone standards have been revealed

According to the draft announced this time, it is supposed to define the setting of "Geofence" which defines a fly-prohibited area, for example near an airport, and also prevents drones from approaching government agencies as well Thing. Also, for pilots who are manipulating drone, consideration is given to the privacy of others and it is stipulated to have a fail-safe mechanism to prevent accidents caused by human error in all flight.
In addition to ISO incorporating the drone pilot's education, the installation of a logging device to record the flight, and the maintenance requirements of the aircraft body, we also set rules to protect the data recorded internally.
A part of the draft is open to the public. In the link below, we can see a part of Part 3 out of draft standard "ISO / DIS 21384" on Unmanned aircraft systems (unmanned aerial vehicles).

In Chapter 3, Chapter 3 "Terms and Definitions", definitions and terms relating to drones' flight are stipulated.
However, you can browse up to "3.6", and the contents of the subsequent "Safety Management System", "Data Protection", "Airspace" etc. actually needed to purchase the data of the standard.
In ISO, this draft is open to the public until January 21, 2019 and opinions are being raised, and the standard is expected to be approved in 2019.
