Microsoft has decided to adopt the Open Whisper Systems Signal protocol in the latest Skype preview version. The Signal protocol is a communication protocol adopted also in chat applications such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Google Allo, etc. End-to-end encryption processing is performed and has a reputation for safety.
