To convert files, first click "Upload" at the top right of the page.
A dialog for file selection will be displayed. You can do this by dragging & amp; dragging the file directly to the "From Computer" tab, or clicking "browse" and selecting the file.
Or you can start the conversion by selecting the "From URL" tab, pasting a URL like YouTube and clicking "Fetch".
Let's convert the file actually. This time we prepared a GIF file created by cutting from a movie with resolution 1920 × 1080, and the capacity before conversion is 11.3 MB. Drag and drop this file from the Explorer to the browser.
File uploading and conversion started immediately. Depending on the size of the original file, it seems that it may take several minutes to process here, so it seems necessary to wait patiently and not to bear in mind.
After a while the file conversion was completed and the following screen was displayed. The URL for opening the converted image is displayed on the left, it can be clicked and played in the browser or saved locally. It is also possible to embed this URL directly in your blog. Also, on the right side, tags and descriptive text attached to the movie could be written.
I tried to compare the converted file with the original file. The original left file was 11.3 MB, while the right converted file was able to compress the size down to about 1/10, which is 1.2 MB in size.
This will of course also depend on the state of the file before conversion, so it is not always surprisingly diminished in size, but when you want to compress files without much effort or when you are concerned about traffic volume It was a service that seemed useful when remembered as a countermeasure.
In addition, when playing back the converted file with the browser, it seems to be a convenient part to be able to use simple players that can use functions such as stop / start, reverse rotation, playback speed adjustment and so on.
